I know you probably heard this 100 times already, but you should always cherish each day like it was your last day. What I’m trying to say is don’t get stuck in that routine.
How many times have I seen couples getting board of each other. You remember in the good old days in the early part of any relationship when you get those butterflies in your stomach when you can’t wait to see your significant other. How you always went out of your way to do something romantic or special for that person. You would actually try hard to impress that person or go that extra mile to show that ya, your different then everyone else.
So you end up getting together and you do those things every now and then and now you’ve been together for a couple of years and you know you have that person, there yours and your in your comfort zone with them, so you don’t do any of those things anymore and you think this will last forever.
This is when you start letting yourself go, and you think there’s no more need to try to look good or impress them or do those little things you use to do because you have them.
This is what usually starts that spiral of routine and boredomness in a relationship.
All I’m trying to get across is do spontaneous things with your significant other every now and then. Surprise them with flowers or small gift as a gesture that you are thinking about them. It doesn’t have to be expensive and can even be something you made. Do something exciting today or this weekend with them, show them the old you and what your still capable of. Live and plan today like your not going to see this person for a while. These are the little things that will build the foundation of a healthy relationship and hopefully guarantee you forever with this person.
