So I’m at work the other day and me and my friend, lets call him Dean, are having lunch in the cafeteria.
Dean like myself have a lot of female friends at work, remember we work in the fashion/retail industry so our place of employment is comprised of 90% attractive females. Both Dean and myself have our own group of friends that we hang out with.

So for some reason some time back Dean had a falling out with one of the girls in his group of friends which he was pretty close to (lets call her Belinda). Unfortunately Dean is still close to all of Belinda’s friends. So because this is a place of employment, of course the two would eventually run into each other and because there are mutual friends involved, I see when the Dean and Belinda are in the same room with each other, example in the cafeteria the other day, The MIND GAMES Begin.

The two initially straight out ignore each other and that either one of them are in the room. Dean finally caves and tries to get the upper hand and strikes a conversation with one Belinda’s friend sitting right beside her on the other table in front of us. Belinda is also having a conversation of her own with someone across her with her back facing Dean trying not to acknowledge that Dean is sitting right behind her . Both are talking really loud and you can tell their just trying to get under each other skin. No one caves, I’m sitting right beside Dean trying to eat my frigging lunch and it’s getting really annoying watching these two go at it.

Someone just acknowledge each other and just let it go !!! But NO they keep going. It’s like high school all over but as adults with a level of maturity that’s not displaying at all in the bad reenactment of the movie “Two Can Play the Game”.

So Belinda and her friend get up and say there byes to everyone at there table. As she turns around to leave the cafeteria, I see her quickly glance at Dean and mumble something under her breath and walk right to our table but to another group of guys who are sitting at the other end. Belinda says a really loud Hi to one of the guys and asks how’s he’s doing, she then gives him a big hug right in front of Dean. During this whole time Dean is yelling right across the cafeteria trying to start a conversation with someone else ignoring what Belinda is blatantly doing right in front of him….

Why did both of them go to these extremes to prove a point, whatever it may be. Did they do it to get the upper hand or was it to raise there Value in front each other or was it to make sure the Ball is in there Court and now they are in control of the situation.

What ever the reason be, I’ve played these games before but when you see being played out right in front of you, you begin to laugh and realize how immature it actually really looks but for some reason we still do it.

Makes you wonder why we even Play these silly MIND GAMES !!!
