I went to the Movies tonight and saw “He’s Just Not That Into You”. The movie makes it very apparent why Dating and Relationships can be very stressful at times. As humans we over analyze and read way too much into things, we blow everything out of proportion. We have a tendency to read and misread people because of our human behavior. We look for the signs people leave us and we take what they say and dissect it. We try to break it down word for word like it’s some sort of formula.

Throughout the movie the simplest “goodbye” to “it was nice meeting you” was over analyzed and a formula on what they actually meant was created.

Like my previous post “Don’t let today’s technology be the downfall in your relationship” we let e-mail, text messages, voicemail, MySpace, Facebook, all these social networking mediums control us too much and again we read way too much into it, which at times can drive us crazy and to the brink of insanity. Throughout the movie characters stare at their cell phone’s waiting for it to ring, being totally dependent on today’s modern technology and misreading situations. We blow everything out of proportion when we over analyze everything. My piece of advice to you is when someone says “It was nice meeting you” or sends you a text message saying “I had a Great Time” It probably just means exactly what it says Nothing more, Nothing Less….. Just enjoy the fact that they were actually thinking of you
