Found this really interesting article about how “You never really stop loving someone…You just learn to try to live without them” I think the meaning behind it is really strong and hits right on certain times. I believe a lot of people can relate to it but don’t realize it sounds more like infatuation.
A lot of times physical attraction can blind someone, giving them a higher tolerance to all the agony, distress and disappointment another person can actually bring into someone’s life. If this person makes you feel bad about yourself and hurts you over and over again, I don’t think it’s actually worth feeling good for that brief moment when they do treat you nice, before they go back to their old ways and treat you badly again. This kind of relationship is like a seesaw that is constantly going up and down but you’re always on the down part. It’s not healthy and can affect all the other things in your life. If you can mentally convince yourself that they’re not worth all the pain and suffering they’ll put you through and tell yourself “If I can’t have you, at least I was able to know I had you. Someday you’ll know, that I was the one for you.” It should help you move on and you’ll be much better off in the long run.
